Folsom Garden Club

Promoting the Love of Gardening

The Folsom Garden Club of Folsom, California was established in 1934.  The main purpose then and now is to encourage and foster relationships among people who have a love of gardens and civic pride.

The club presently maintains the Folsom Garden Park, a Blue Star Memorial Garden on Natoma Street  with a rose garden honoring past members, and color spots at the Folsom Senior Center at 48 Natoma Street. Sunday in the Gardens,  traditionally held in April, is our annual Garden Tour.  Our first tour was in 2001.  It provides funds for scholarships and community projects.

A Community Garden is hosted by Gladys Trejo, where members are encouraged to develop their skills producing vegetables, fruits, and flowers in garden plots located adjacent to her home.

Dirt Gardener Events are the fun activities we do outside the regular business meetings.  The purpose is to be involved, learn, share, and be creative.  This includes activities at the Folsom Senior Center, gardening education, community projects, tours, field trips, demonstrations, and craft projects.  Dates from September through June are announced at the business meetings and published in the newsletter.

Club Business Meetings are conducted on the first Thursday of the month, September through May, 10:00am, at the Rotary Club House in Lew Howard Park.  (Directions:  From Folsom-Auburn Rd., turn between McDonalds and Zittel Farm) onto Oak Avenue, right on Baldwin Dam Road)
